Carrie Vick joined News 8 as a Reporter and Producer in December 2011. She was born and raised just outside of Madison, Wis. Her love for "The Dairy State" made choosing a college in Wisconsin an easy decision. She attended the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse where she earned an undergraduate degree in Communication Studies with an emphasis in Organizational and Professional Communication and a minor in Broadcast and Digital Media.
Carrie's passion for journalism grew while at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. She was the News Director for UW-L's campus TV station and took every opportunity to develop her broadcast skills on campus. She interned as a Reporter and Producer with WMTV NBC 15 in Madison, Wis. the summer of 2011. Carrie then joined the News 8 team as an intern in the Fall of 2011. It didn't take long for her to find herself at home at News 8, officially joining the team as a Reporter and Producer after graduation in December 2011.

I am a Green Bay Packers fan to the core. Professional football is my favorite sport to watch.
Favorite way to spend a day off?
The more time I can spend outside the better. I love going for a run or a hike with a good friend. In the summer, it doesn’t get any better than a day on the lake water skiing followed by s'mores over a campfire.
Steak. Hands down.

Every day I come into work I learn something new. I love meeting new people and having the privilege of sharing their stories.
Remember the Titans.
If you could interview one person, living or deceased, who would that be?
Pizza. Sausage, pepperoni or everything on it?
Everything on it.
