The Minnesota Department of Revenue says problems have been addressed with electronic tax filing services that caused delayed state tax returns for some people.
The department said Tuesday that tax software contractor Intuit has fixed errors with TurboTax and other online tax filing programs and that Minnesota taxpayers may start using them again. Earlier this month, the department revealed that problems with the software had resulted in inaccurate tax information being sent to the state from some filers.
A company spokeswoman initially said about 10,000 tax returns were affected by the programming errors. Department of Revenue officials stressed that the problem was on the contractor's end and demanded they be fixed quickly.
The other tax preparation products involved include Lacerte, Intuit online and ProSeries.
