I could hear the sandhill cranes out on the marsh, but it wasn't until the fog started to burn off that I could see them.
One of the pair of trumpeter swans that nests on our cranberry marsh. It's mate has a neck band, so we can confirm that it's the same pair from year to year. Trumpeter swans mate for life and Individuals can live 20-30 years.
On Friday, these crocus were covered with snow. On Saturday, they were enjoying the warm temperatures, just like the rest of us!

Took this photo a couple weeks ago on way to work, looking from Marquette, IA east across river. What forms the circle? Instead of a Rainbow, I call it a Snowbow!
Photos of a rainbow caused by ice crystals on December 31st. Seen on the ridge off Hwy 33
The recent dreary weather did not deter a scenic picture opportunity. This was not taken as a black and white photo -- it was just that dreary last Sunday morning. Notice the beautiful Eagle perched on the limb!
This was taken Thanksgiving weekend at The Christmas Farm in Mindoro, WI. They offered free horse drawn carriage rides & the snow was just beautiful. Wishing we had some snow today!
