After biking about 200 miles across the Wisconsin, a local man can finally get some rest.
Chris Pundzak, a dedicated volunteer at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe, proudly biked the final stretch of his trip on Sunday, ending at the shrine.
He started from Milwaukee last week Tuesday, biking across Wisconsin and stopping at different churches along the way to raise awareness about the shrine.
Pundzak has cerebral palsy, but that didn't get in the way of him accomplishing his goal.
"As I think of the letter to the Corinthians in the Bible that, 'In my weakness, I am made strong,' and Chris, that's his whole life. He's a testament to God's power working through weakness and struggles. So yeah, very inspired," said Phillip Klaas, one of Pundzak's friends who made the trip with him.
Pundzak averaged about 30 miles a day. He hopes to make it an annual trip.
