Outdoor enthusiasts spent the day exploring the Mississippi and Black River Channels.
Guides from the River Alliance took about 30 people through the braided channels hoping to catch a glimpse of the sights and sounds on the river.
The tour included a sand bar lunch and a history lesson about the river. Attendees also learned about some of the present day issues and management activities.
The River Alliance hopes the tours give people a better understanding of the significance to the area.
