LA CROSSE, WI -

It's a perfect day for an important fundraiser for the YMCA's Strong Kids Campaign.

Rock'n the Docks at Huck Finn's on French Island kicked off at 2:30 p.m.

Four different bands played starting off with the country band Iron Horse, followed by Reed Grim and the Shoeless Revolution,  GB Leighton and the Remainders closing it all out.

It's a 21 and older event and costs $20 at the gate.

Organizers said they expect about 3,000 people to come out.

They say it's one of the biggest fundraisers of the year for the Strong Kids Campaign.

"Our pre-sales are probably our best ever. We're getting lots of calls from bands not only in the area but up in the cities that want to come down and play. It's all for a good cause. The YMCA has many different programs: We have our Livestrong program which helps cancer survivors, we have our diabetes prevention program and we have our teen center where our teens can go after school," said Rock'n the Docks organizer Tom Brewer.

Brewer said they hope to raise about $50,000 from the event.
