LA CROSSE, WI (WKBT) -

The 24-year-old La Crosse woman who crashed a car into the La Crosse Burger King on October 13 has been charged with several counts, including possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Kiara Kiesow, of La Crosse, told police after the crash that she had been huffing Maxell Dust-Off and believed she blacked out before the crash.

About an hour before the crash, Kiesow was involved in a domestic altercation at 1212 4th Street in La Crosse with Patrick Coleman, the criminal complaint states.

Coleman told police Kiesow came to his apartment looking for drugs and alcohol and when he didn’t comply, she became upset and hit Coleman in the eye. He shoved her backwards and then she bit him I his upper right, inner bicep and lower forearm area, the complaint states.

Coleman told police he then went into the bedroom and passed out from intoxication and later woke up to find his car keys missing from his pocket and Kiesow had taken his car.

Around 8:30 p.m. on October 13, police were called to 515 4th Street S. in La Crosse where a car had hopped the curb and crashed into the Burger King drive-thru. When police arrived, they found Kiesow lying on the ground next to the car. She told police she had been huffing dust-off and drank a 12-pack of beer at Coleman’s apartment. She said she had Coleman’s permission to drive his car.

Police found an identification card with another woman’s name, a syringe, spoon and several small white bags with a powdery substance in Kiesow’s purse. It later tested positive for the presence of methamphetamine. Police say Kiesow denied knowledge of the contents of the purse and said it belong to the woman whose ID was found inside. Police also found open containers of alcohol and a can of Maxell Dust-Off in the car.

Kiesow appeared in La Crosse County Court on Tuesday. She has been charged with the following accounts:
-Possession of methamphetamine
-Operating a motor vehicle without owner’s consent
-Felony bail jumping-new crimes
-Operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated—2nd offense
-Illegal possession of hazardous substance
-Possession of drug paraphernalia
-Misdemeanor battery
-Disorderly conduct
